Mendocino is located on the coast of Northern California, about 4 hours north of San Francisco. From Napa Valley (3 hours; 116 miles)
Head north on Highway 29 for 30 miles to Calistoga,
Then head west on Highway 128 for 20 miles to Geyserville.
Go north on Highway 128 for 15 miles to Cloverdale.
Head west on Highway 128 for 55 miles to Highway 1,
Then go north for 10 miles to Mendocino.
At the traffic light, go left (west) on Little Lake Road,
Then turn right at the stop sign onto Lansing St.
The inn is 1/3 mile ahead on the right.
From Northwest CA or Oregon (5 hours from Oregon State Line; 4 hours from Eureka)
Take Highway 101 south to Leggett
Then take Highway 1 south. OR: take Highway 101 south to Willits,
Then go west for 25 miles on Highway 20 to Highway 1,
Then go south 10 miles to Mendocino.
Turn right on Lansing Street.
The inn is 2/10 mile ahead on the left.
From Sacramento (197 miles; 4 hours)
North via Clearlake:
Head north on I-5 for 58 miles to Williams.
Head west on Highway 20 for 79 miles to Ukiah,
Then head north on Highway 101 for 15 miles to Willits.
Head west on Highway 20 for 35 miles to Fort Bragg,
Then head south on Highway 1 for 9 miles.
At Mendocino, exit right onto Lansing St.
The inn is 2/10 mile ahead on the left.
From San Francisco via the Coast on Highway 1 (6 hours)
From the Golden Gate Bridge, head north on Highway 101 for 6 miles,
Then head west on Highway 1 for 12 miles to Muir Beach.
Continue north on Highway 1 for 34 miles to Bodega Bay,
And then another 98 miles to Mendocino.
